The Groom who had no pants!

June 14th was the day they’ve been waiting for and it turned out beautifully.  Katie and Joe were married in Ramsey, New Jersey followed by a beautiful reception at the Ramsey Country Club.

The day started off a bit strangely when the groom showed up to the church with no pants!  He had left them at home and hung out in the church in shorts and a t-shirt until one of his ushers could go and retrieve the bottoms of his tux!  That should have tipped me off to Joe’s personality right then and there!  He was hilarious!

After a lovely Catholic ceremony complete with a bagpiper leading the bride and groom out of the church, we headed to the Ramsey Country Club to beat the rain storms and try to get some photos taken.

I had the pleasure of working with the extremely talented photographer Terry Michael www.terrymichael.com

Another highlight of the evening was when someone requested the theme from “Ghostbusters” for the groom.  Joe got up on the dance floor on cue and began taking off the rest of his tux!  The bride even went up and gave him a dollar for his efforts!  I’m sure that Joe will keep Katie laughing for the rest of her life.

My sincere congratulations to you both!

Tent Weddings are awesome!

This past Saturday I was present to document the awesome wedding of Jessica and Justin at their home in Warwick, NY.  What a beautiful location for their poolside nuptials and casino-themed reception held under 3 large tents on their property!

Jaybird Productions provided the tunes and gaming tables, complete with roulette, craps, blackjack and hold-em. There was a vintage candy station as well as an old-time photo booth for goofy guest photos.  Holbert’s Catering outdid themselves yet again with the fabulous dinner and way too much cocktail food!  I had such a great time working with one of my favorite photographers, James Ferrara out of Cornwall; who continues to amaze me with his skillfull, creative eye, and quick trigger finger as he fired off about 1200 pictures!

The best part of the day, however, had to be just working with Jess and Justin, who are just about the two most easy-going people I’ve ever worked for, and very much at ease and in love with each other.

The whole day was very unique – just like the two of them! Thanks for the candy fish- they’re my favorite!
